Who we are The Alliance For Vigilance was formed in 2006 to provide a strategic and tactical response to the threat to freedom posed by militant Islam. The Alliance is a non-stock corporation operated by volunteers from a number of different professions. An application for 501(c)(3) status from the Internal Revenue Service is pending.
What we believe We believe that the United States is currently involved in a war that has been clearly, openly and arrogantly declared upon us by various militant Sunni and Shia Muslim groups and that the evidence of this war is readily apparent to those who would but look. By definition of our enemies, the war in which we find ourselves is not just a war over religion, but a life-and-death struggle for control of every aspect of public and private life not only in the United States but around the world. We do not believe that all Muslims are at war with the United States but that the threat posed by those who are presents a serious, credible and imminent danger to life, liberty and property of Americans living both here and abroad. We believe that it is the true nature of the American spirit to confront the threat we face boldly, unflinchingly, persistently and head on. If we do, we win. They lose.
What we do With firm reliance upon God, the Alliance's primary response to the threat posed by militant Islam is threefold. First, AFV wants to educate the public as to the threat posed by militant Islam. We believe that the American people are largely uninformed as to the nature and extent of the threat we face, often due to "taqiyya" or misinformation spread in the media by those aligned with our enemies. We need to understand the times and know what to do. In many respects, we believe that our current situation is much like that of 1938 when the world slept while a storm gathered in Nazi Germany. Those who forget the mistakes of history are destined to repeat them. Second, the AFV wants to influence public policy by educating decision makers. We believe that the first responsibility of government is to protect its people and that, without such protection, all other freedoms are in jeopardy. We want our leaders to understand more fully the threat posed by militant Islam and how to fight it most effectively. Third, the AFV wants to reach out to Muslims on a spiritual level. We believe that you cannot change the political views or personal behavior of a Muslim who believes in an all-encompassing shariah law without first changing his faith. This is first and foremost a spiritual battle and we believe that the power of God's Word changes people.
