Issue:  Alliance for Vigilance (AFV) recognizes the spiritual nature of our conflict with militant Islam. Since we also recognize that “As a man thinketh in his heart so is he.” (Prov 23:7) we know that peaceful relations come from peaceful thinking.  As long as violent, Jihadist, thinking is promulgated without restraint, violence against non-Muslims will continue, albeit with local, temporary, pauses.

Solution:   Considering one cannot change a culture of thinking without replacing it we must work to introduce a philosophy that not only tames aggressive behavior, but engenders general benevolence beyond immediate family, culture, or nation.  AFV recognizes the Creator’s teachings and logical (desired) repercussions are perfectly addressed in His two greatest commandments:

“Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.  And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.” (Mk 12: 30-31)

Because mankind’s natural thinking tends toward sin and rejection of God’s order, men must be spiritually changed by the new birth into a relationship with their Creator.  They become His people through His payment for their sin of disobedience and His imparting His righteousness into them (2Cor 5:21).  This living relationship fosters obedience to the great commands resulting in peaceful, cooperative, coexistence.

Method:   AFV therefore endorses and participates in efforts to bring the Gospel message to Muslims as well as others who have never heard or understood the Truth in the Word of God.  For questions concerning Islam vs. Christianity see Answering-Islam.org.  To see AFV supported outreach see Outreach Tools.
